Caulry U16 Football

Caulry U16 got there championship off to a good start with a draw against the league champions Coralstown Kinnegad. Caulry started well and the first 15 minutes both teams were evenly matched, however Coralstown Kinnegad got three goals to put them into a commanding position by half time. Caulry played their way back into the game registering the first 4 points of the second half. Caulry were now controlling the game and with minutes to go Michael Carroll scored his second goal to put Caulry into the lead for the first time. Coralstown Kinnegad scored a point with the last kick to draw the game. Team work was impressive with the 17 players supporting each other and making good decisions.

Caulry U12 Football

Caulry will host an Under 12 football Tournament Blitz on Saturday morning 18th August at 11am. In addition to Caulry, The Downs and St Brigids Roscommon will also take part. The 3 clubs will field 3 teams each with 3 games happening simultaneously on a round robin system. A good days football is in store.

Coaching

Caulry hosted an excellent coaching session by the Westmeath Coaching and Games development on Thursday night last. Our thanks to the 4 coaching presenters, Liam Reilly, Gary Sammon, Ronan Farrell and David Johnson and also Noel Delaney for his assistance.
