Junior Football Championship - Caulry take of Mullingar Shamrocks in 4th Round

Caulry took on Mullingar Shamrocks in round four of this year's Junior Championship Section B in a crucial game in the Park last Friday evening. Needing a win to stay in the hunt for qualification for a quarter final spot in the knock-out stages, Caulry were lethargic in the opening half and let Mullingar set the pace of the game and they subsequently went in at the break five points to the good on a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-2.

The second half saw Caulry upping their pace of the game and despite outscoring their oppponents by two points for the half , Mullingar held out to win the tie on a scoreline of Mullingar shamrocks 1-7, Caulry 0-7. This game was there to be won by Caulry if they held more belief and converted more opportunities created upfront particularly in the second half.

Subs Used : Anselm Fitzgerald (0-1) for Shane Nugent, Tom Doyle for Liam Muldoon.

Caulry Quiz Night & Draw

Caulry are planning a Quiz Night as a fundraiser to be held in Egan's, Mount Temple on Friday, August 31st next at 9pm. A draw to include prizes for a a pair of tickets to both the All-Ireland Hurling & Football Finals will also be held on the night and cards with entry lines at €3 are currently circulating via Club Members.
