Everybody in The Caulry Club, would like to wish Ballinahown's Mark Rohan the very best of luck in the London Paralympic, which kicked off today, Thursday the 29th and runs for two weeks.
Mark is one of Ireland’s most successful and well-known Paralympic athletes, and has already enjoyed success, becoming double World Champion at September’s World Paracycling Road Championships in Denmark.
From a GAA perspective, we remember Mark from his playing days with Castledaly, for the Westmeath Under 21 team in 2001, and playing for the Caulry/Castledaly combination of St. Ciarans.
An inspiration to us all, we wish Mark the very best, and we hope we brings the Gold Medal back home to South Westmeath.
