Caulry Minors kicked of the season with a draw away to Athlone on Thursday night. Athlone started the stronger and led 6 points to 4 at half time However points from A O Sullivan (inset) E Donohoe (0-02) and J Pettit kept Caulry in touch. Athlone extended their lead to 3 points before Alan Daly broke through the Athlone defence and beat the goalie with a well place

Fundraiser
Caulry GAA are hosting a Social evening in the Well, Moate on Easter Sunday night April 8th to raise funds for the Club. Music will be provided by the well-known Crystal Swing Band.
Tickets can be had on entry at the door and a great night's entertainment is in prospect.The Club are hoping for a large local support on the night.

This was the start of a purple patch for Caulry and further scores from Gavyn Shortall (1-00) E Donohoe (0-01) and D Brookes (0-03) put Caulry into a 7 point lead mid way through the second half. Caulry then lost their way and Athlone dominated the last quarter scoring 1-04 to draw the game. Best for Caulry on the night were, in defence M McMahon and N Killane who had a busy night.The midfield pairing of S Doyle and S Woods had a good night against a strong Athlone midfield. Up front E Donohoe and A Daly were to the fore.
