Sympathies
It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death of TP Hickey recently. TP was a dedicated sportsman and done astonishing work both on and off the field in our Caulry club and the local soccer club of Temple Villa throughout the years. TP’s playing career with Caulry lasted an impressive 20 years from 1968 to 1988. He will be forever remembered for playing no.10 on our 1969 team which claimed the club’s first intermediate championship, an occasion which was honoured last October on its 50th anniversary. His honours with the club also included winning an intermediate and junior B championships in 1985 and junior B championship in 1974.
The club extends it’s deepest sympathies to the Hickey family at this time.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Dinner Dance
Caulry GAA are holding a dinner dance in the Hodson Bay Hotel on Saturday, February 22nd. There will be various presentations on the night and tickets will be available in the coming weeks. Full details to follow.
School’s Football
We have a large contingent of players involved in Leinster post primary schools football action this week as MCS (Thomas Dunning, Adam Donoghue, Ciaran Gaynor, Glenn Carolan, Rory Mullins, Luke Buckley, Alan Malynn, Tom Cloonan and Roan Sweeney) and the Marist (Senan Baker and Olan Healy) play their respective quarter-finals. The very best of luck to all the lads and their teammates.
