Under 13 Football:
Maryland/Tang v Caulry 26/10/2012
Caulry travelled to take on Maryland/Tang in their final match in this year’s league on Wednesday 26th September. This encounter lived up to its top of the table billing with all its thrills and real end to end stuff. Aided by the stiff breeze, the home side enjoyed what looked like a commanding twelve point half time lead. However the Caulry boys took over on the resumption, with Shane Cleary in particular leading the charge. In the final minute with only three points separating the teams, Caulry had a great goal chance which was heroically blocked and Maryland/Tang worked the ball downfield for the insurance point. Caulry were left to rue a number of gilt edge goal opportunities which were taken in previous games. However well done to all the players and management on an excellent year of progress and only this single league defeat.
Final Score: Caulry 3-9 Maryland/Tang 3-13

Each club fielded three 9-a-side teams on three pitches simultaneously. Gerry Donaghue was Caulry Team 1 Manager. Matt Hamiltion was Caulry Team 2 Manager. Brian Carolan was Caurly Team 3 manager.
The Downs took on St Brigids in the first series of matches, with teams on pitch 1 finishing in a draw, pitch 2 victory for Brigids, pitch 3 The Downs were victorious. The Downs acumalated 3 pionts for their efforts.
Caulry took on the St. Brigids in the 2nd series of matches. Caulry team 1 with an ellusive Matthew Nally had an easy victory on pitch 1. Caulry team 2 on pitch 2 displayed great combination football to claim a great victory. On pitch 3, Caulry team 3 suffered a narrow defeat. Caulry clocked up 4 points from their matches
Going into the final series of games with The Downs, and the new trophy on offer, all three Caulry teams went all out. While Caulry team 3 won well, the other two games were very much in the melting pot until the final minutes, In the end, Caulry claimed all three matchs and was a fitting end to the season from a Caulry point of view. Afterwards, T.J. Dunning, Event organiser and club coaching development officer, presented the trophy to the joint winning captains, Dylan Lowry, Jack Sheehan and Keith Buckley to the delight of their team mates and supporters. All players taking part then received a medal.
Having lost a number of tournament finals and school final in recent years, this was a marvellous physiological boost for them.
