Our All Ireland Football Final Tickets Draw took place on Friday evening last in Egan’s Pub, Mount Temple, in front of a good-sized crowd. The lucky winners on the night were as follows:

IFC Fixture
All roads lead to Cusack Park on Sunday evening next for the fourth round of this year’s intermediate championship. Our lads will battle it out against Bunbrosna in this eagerly awaited clash. Both sides met earlier in the year as part of the Division 2 ACFL where our lads came out on top on a scoreline of 3-7 to 0-6. With the right attitude and performance, Caulry will be hoping to notch up their third consecutive win in this year’s campaign. Kick-off is at 4:45pm and all supporters are encouraged to get behind the team. Good luck lads.
U12 Garrycastle Tournament
Caulry vs. Tyrrellspass
Our U12 boys had a good win over Tyrrellspass in the annual Garrycastle Tournament on Wednesday evening last.
The Caulry boys hit the ground running with a well-taken goal from Lee Corcorcan. Rory Hatton then added to the scoring tally after a good pass from Aaron Murphy before Tyrrellspass kicked the next two scores of the game. James O’Brien and Darragh Shortall worked hard in defence as a fine pass from Max O’Sullivan set Aaron Hanevy up for a goal on the 9th minute. Further scores from Brian Doyle, Dylan McCormack and Aaron Murphy saw Caulry lead at the break. David Gaynor and Dean Martin worked hard throughout the second half as the teams exchanged points with Eoin Murphy adding for Caulry. Aaron Hanevy and Cormac Murphy combined well as Murphy rattled the opposition’s net to put Caulry in the driving seat. Fionn O’Donovan brought off some fine saves in goal as Michael McSharry and Cody Parker done well when introduced enabling Caulry to run out easy winners on a scoreline of 9-13 to 0-4.
Caulry vs. Garrycastle
On the following Friday evening, the Caulry boys then hosted a strong Garrycastle side for their second game of the competition.
The homeside started the half well with Aaron Hanevy slotting over two quick points. Cian Malone and Darragh Shortall worked hard in defence as Eoin Murphy stretched Caulry’s lead to three. However, Garrycastle soon drew level as they tapped over a brace of points. David Gaynor combined well with Rory Hatton who edged Caulry in front. Garrycastle then kicked three fine points to lead by two at the break.
The Garrycastle boys made good use of a strong breeze in the second half as they added 2-1. Eoin McCormack and Michael McSharry defended well as Aaron Murphy drew two back with two pointed frees. Cormac Murphy then added a fine score before Fionn O’Donovan brought off a good save at the other end of the field. Ultimately, our lads chased the deficit as late Garrycastle scores sealed their win on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-7.

Caulry 5-7
Mullingar Shamrocks 14-12
Our U14 boys suffered a strong defeat to a good Mullingar Shamrocks side on Thursday evening last in their latest championship fixture.
Both sides were slow to settle with Ian Malone bringing off a fine save on the 2nd minute. Mullingar Shamrocks soon found their feet and tagged on 1-1. A fine pass from Tiarnan O’Donovan found Aaron Murray who rattled the back of the opposition’s net. The Mullingar boys kept their lead intact, adding on another 1-1 before some good work from Alan Lynam and Andrew Stuart Trainor enabled O’Donovan to add two quick goals. Mullingar Shamrocks then drew level on the 13th minute with a fine point from play before dominating proceedings and leading well at the interval on a scoreline of 7-7 to 3-0.
The opposition hit the ground running again in the second half with a quick goal. Michael McDonald drew one back as David Gaynor and Ben Claffey defended well. Oisin Shortall then tapped over a free to reduce the deficit. Lynam and Murray put their names on the scoresheet before the opposition made a burst, yielding 2-2. Late scores from Paul Hogan and Conor Hynes saw Mullingar Shamrocks run out worthy winners on the evening.
Although the result did not go our way, our U14 boys made history by playing the first competitive game on our new pitch. Well done lads.
