Under 16s
Caulry played host to The Downs on Monday May 16th in the Park.
Playing with the wind in the first half Caulry started off slowly and finally got off the mark after 13 minutes with a point from Sean Doyle. He added a goal a couple of minutes later but this was their total for the first half and they got to half time leading by three points as The Downs could only manage one point against the wind.
The Downs brought the sides level within two minutes of the restart with a goal and then took the lead with a point and looked to be on the way to a win when they goaled five minutes later followed by another point to lead by five.
Caulry dug deep and a goal and a point from Michael Carroll and a point from Ian Malynn brought Caulry level. Colyn Shortall netted a goal but The Downs answered with one of their own. When Stephen Brookes pointed for Caulry it seemed to be the winner but The Downs scored a point from a close in free to level the match before the final whistle was blown.

Under 16s
Caulry played their last game in the u/16 League when they took on Rosemount on Wednesday last, May 18th.
Playing against the wind in the first half they built up an early lead thanks to a goal from Sean Doyle and went in at half time a point to the good.
Caulry’s full forward Michael Carroll came into his own in the second half and four more points from him saw them run out four point winners in the end.

Caulry Under 10 footballers travelled in large numbers to the cauldron that is the home of All-Ireland senior football finalists, St Brigid’s Roscommon on Wednesday evening last for a challenge game. Judging by the power and skill of the Brigid’s youngsters, the bloodlines are strong and they intend staying at the top for some time to come. We played three games and once again our younger members showed up best. Hopefully our team will take the lessons on board and store away for another day. Our thanks to Eamon Cunnane and the St Brigid’s mentors for the games, their hospitality and sportsmanship.

Under 10 Finals Day
The finals day of the South Westmeath Under 10 league will take place on Saturday morning next in Pairc Chiarian Athlone. Our teams will play Garrycastle at 10.30am.
