The Annual General Meeting of the Caulry club was held on last Friday night in Mount Temple Community Hall. A minutes silence was observed at the start of the meeting for all deceased members and their families during the past year.
Outgoing chairman James Casey welcomed the good-sized attendance and began his report. James began by extending congratulations to our successful Intermediate championship winning team and their management team of John Benton, Robbie Ryan and Damien Keenan on claiming the coveted county title and expressed hope for their return to senior ranks for the 2020 season. He also acknowledged the 1969 intermediate winning team who were commemorated on this the 50th anniversary of their win. James spoke highly of the efforts of both the junior and U20 teams and their coaches for their commitment throughout the year and he wished Caulry ladies every success in the future. James also acknowledged the successes of our underage which continues to flourish every year, with the U14’s county final win being a note-worthy highlight. He went on to extend sincere gratitude to all those involved in managing and coaching both the adult and underage teams for their tremendous efforts and complimented the local schools of An Grianán NS and St. Ciaran’s NS and their staff for their work in promoting GAA in the community. James also spoke about how the year was successful off the field, in particular with the official opening of the community walking track and new playing field. James further thanked all who volunteered their time during the year, the maintenance crew, FÁS workers, lotto sellers, sponsors, those involved in various sub-committees and his fellow officers for their ongoing support and concluded by wishing all club members, supporters and their families a happy and prosperous 2020.

He expressed thanks to all supporters, coaches, club and committee members for their support and conclude by wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and successful New Year.
