U21 Championship Semi Final

Caulry 0-5

Moate 3-4

Caulry travelled to Hogan Park on a miserable Sunday morning last for their semi-final outing of the U21 Championship.

Caulry were first off the mark with a pointed-free from Robbie Hickey. Moate levelled proceedings on the 12^th minute. After some great combined teamwork from Eoin Fox and David Brookes, Emmet Nally and Paddy Sleator edged Caulry in front. The Caulry defence held strong, with Conor Dolan, James Pettit and Sean Clinton valiant in their endeavours, to leave Caulry leading 0-3 to 0-1 at halftime.

On the resumption, Conor McCormack pointed to stretch Caulry’s lead. However, an unanswered 3-1 for Moate meant the opposition took the lead for the first time, a lead they would not relinquish. A free from Stephen Connolly narrowed proceedings on the 52^nd miunte, which was shortly followed by late points for Moate.
