EpJ 1:0 (Bar 6:1) ΑΝΤΙΓΡΑΦΟΝ ἐπιστολῆς ἧς ἀπέστειλεν Ἰερεμίας πρὸς τοὺς ἀχθησομένους αἰχμαλώτους εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ὑπὸ τοῦ βασιλέως τῶν Βαβυλωνίων, ἀναγγεῖλαι αὐτοῖς καθότι ἐπετάγη αὐτῷ ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ.

Note: this is a copy of a letter from Jeremiah to Israel written prior to them being carried away by Nebuchadnezzar into Babylon; the est. date of this letter is about 485 B.C., if a 7 yr. warning period is included before the carrying away in 478 B.C.. The date of when the copy was made is unknown, except to say it predates the oldest manuscript in which it is found, i.e., Codex 03 (Vaticanus).

EpJ 1:4 (Bar 6:5) εὐλαβήθητε οὖν μὴ καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀφομοιωθέντες τοῖς ἀλλοφύλοις ἀφομοιωθῆτε, καὶ φόβος ὑμᾶς λάβῃ ἐπ' αὐτοῖς,

Note: ye-should-have-been-goodly-taken-unto : the Passive form is used to infer being affected into holding a goodly-taking mindset, i.e. into willingly giving attention to, as having been persuaded by the gravity of the Object.

EpJ 1:5 (Bar 6:6) ἰδόντας ὄχλον ἔμπροσθεν καὶ ὄπισθεν αὐτῶν προσκυνοῦντας αὐτά· εἴπατε δὲ τῇ διανοίᾳ Σοὶ δεῖ προσκυνεῖν, Δέσποτα.

EpJ 1:10 (Bar 6:11) δώσουσιν δὲ ἀπ' αὐτῶν καὶ ταῖς ἐπὶ τοῦ τέγους πόρναις. κοσμοῦσί τε αὐτοὺς ὡς ἀνθρώπους τοῖς ἐνδύμασιν, θεοὺς ἀργυροῦς καὶ θεοὺς χρυσοῦς καὶ ξυλίνους.

(Bar 6:12) The-ones-these then-also not they-be-saved-through-to off of-an-emission and of-feedeeings-to, of-having-had-come-to-be-casted-about of-them to-an-appareling-to-of to-flushened.

Note: to-flushened : used of flushing waves or a-rushering-to, of a flush of death in a battle, of a flush of color mainly in the bright red to blueish-red category because of its visual affect but also of rainbows, of flushed skin, etc.

EpJ 1:12 (Bar 6:13) ἐκμάσσονται τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν διὰ τὸν ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας κονιορτόν, ὅς ἐστιν πλείων ἐπ' αὐτοῖς.

EpJ 1:14 (Bar 6:15) ἔχει δὲ ἐνχειρίδιον δεξιᾷ καὶ πέλεκυν, ἑαυτὸν δὲ ἐκ πολέμου καὶ λῃστῶν οὐκ ἐξελεῖται. (Bar 6:16) ὅθεν γνώριμοί εἰσιν οὐκ ὄντες θεοί· μὴ οὖν φοβηθῆτε αὐτούς.

(Bar 6:15) It-holdeth then-also to-in-hand-belonged unto-right-belonged and to-a-hew, to-self then-also out of-a-war and of-robbers not it-shall-section-out. (Bar 6:16) Which-from acquainted-belonged-unto they-be not being deities; lest accordingly ye-might-have-been-feareed-unto to-them.

Note: a-receiveer : to something received; used of roof bearing beams, of the horizantal portion of a gate assigned to receive the poles, etc.

EpJ 1:21 (Bar 6:22) ἐπὶ τὸ σῶμα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν ἐφίπτανται νυκτερίδες, χελιδόνες καὶ τὰ ὄρνεα, ὡσαύτως δὲ καὶ οἱ αἴλουροι.

(Bar 6:22) Upon to-the-one to-an-en-capsuling-to of-them and upon to-the-one to-a-head they-fly-upon, nighters, forkings and the-ones en-flailings, as-unto-it then-also and the-ones cats.

Note: nighters : used to refer things defined by their night behavior, usually of bats, also of a kind of fish, of a kind of plant, etc.

Note: forkings : used of the swallow/martin bird family (and perhaps swift), particulary the barn swallow (Hirundo rustica), as characterized by their forked tail, also used of flying fish and of things with a forked tail appearance, in derivation extending into things with swallow characteristics, of tuna for their forked tails, of a way to disparage languages for their sound variegation, of gems having the same color as their rustic colored throat, etc.

Note: en-flailings : groupingly refers to birds that non-glidingly flail their wings.

EpJ 1:23 (Bar 6:24) Τὸ γὰρ χρυσίον ὃ περίκεινται εἰς κάλλος, ἐὰν μή τις ἐκμάξῃ τὸν ἰόν, οὐ μὴ στίλψωσιν· οὐδὲ γάρ ὅτε ἐχωνεύοντο ᾐσθάνοντο.

(Bar 6:29) of-the-ones of-surgings-unto of-them sitting-down-off and a-beforthing they-fasten. Having-had-acquainted accordingly off of-the-ones-these to-which-a-one not they-be deities, lest ye-might-have-been-feareed-unto to-them.

Note: a-beforthing : used to refer to something being forthed in the sense of being laid up, most commonly of a woman having given birth.

Note: they-two-bearer-of : used to refer to things made to bear two persons, types of chariots and large seats, etc.

EpJ 1:31 (Bar 6:32) ὠρύονται δὲ βοῶντες ἐναντίον τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν ὥσπερ τινὲς ἐν περιδείπνῳ νεκροῦ.

(Bar 6:32) they-roar then-also hollering-unto to-ever-a-oned-in of-the-ones of-deities of-them as-very ones in unto-a-meal-about of-en-deaded.

EpJ 1:32 (Bar 6:33) ἀπὸ τοῦ ἱματισμοῦ αὐτῶν ἀφελόμενοι οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐνδύσουσιν τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ παιδία·

(Bar 6:33) Off of-the-one of-an-appareling-to-of of-them having-had-sectioned-off, the-ones sacreders-of, they-shall-sink-in to-the-ones to-women of-them and to-the-ones childlets;

EpJ 1:33 (Bar 6:34) οὔτε ἐὰν κακὸν πάθωσιν ὑπό τινος οὔτε ἐὰν ἀγαθόν, δυνήσονται ἀνταποδοῦναι· οὔτε καταστῆσαι βασιλέα δύνανται οὔτε ἀφελέσθαι.
