Split Pea Soup - Crock Pot

Serves 4 

1 lb dried green split peas 

2 cups diced onions 

1 ½ cups diced carrots 

1 cup diced celery 

2 tsp minced garlic 

½ tsp pepper 

3 chicken bouillon cubes 

1 ¼ lb ham hock 

Put all ingredients in 7 cups of water in a slow cooker 

Cover and cook 6 hours on high or 12 hours on low

Remove ham, when cool enough, dice and return to pot (or cut up before goes in).
