Serves 3
1lb flank steak, sliced thin (or beef replacement)
1 lb noodles of your choice (.e.g. rice, udon, etc)
Marinade:
3 tbsp corn starch
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp white pepper
2 tbsp oil for frying
Sauce:
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp chicken bouillon
1/4 tsp white pepper
Other:
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
2-3 chilies, diced
1 large onion, sliced
4-5 green onions, diced
2 tsp sesame oil
Prepare the marinade and place beef in it for at least 15 minutes. Then heat oil in wok and add beef - do not touch it for at least 2 minutes to allow it to fry crispy. Flip beef and do the other side and then remove from pan.
Prepare the sauce in a small bowl while beef cooks.
Cook noodles.
In wok, add all the "other" ingredients and stir fry for about 2 minutes. Then add sauce. Bring to a boil and then add noodles. Mix. Then add bef and serve!
