Bananas Foster

2 bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise

2 oz butter

2 oz brown sugar, packed

1 oz banana liqueur or other sweet liqueur (coconut rum is nice, but not the milky one)

1 oz spiced or dark rum

pinch cinnamon

vanilla ice cream for serving

In a thin bottomed pan, stirring constantly, melt butter with sugar over medium-high heat. Add bananas and turn to coat.

Add banana liqueur and continue to stir until bananas are well caramelized.  Add rum and cinnamon.  Serve immediately over ice cream.
