Portobello Mushroom Steaks

Serves 2

1 tbsp white miso

4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp water

1 tbsp nutritional yeast

1.5 lb portobello mushrooms, stems and gills removed

4 tsp steak seasoning

Combine miso, oil, soy sauce, water and nutritional yeast - mix well. Coat mushrooms well (both sides) and set aside for 10 minutes. Do not overdo adding the sauce to the mushrooms, it will be too overpowering.

Sprinkle both sides of mushroom with steak seasoning.

Head a large, non-stick pan over medium heat and place mushrooms curved side down in pan and cook until lightly browned. Flip and cook until lightly browned on the other side, regulating the heat so the mushrooms cook through without burning.
