Beef with Broccoli

1/2 lb sirloin or eye of round, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 tbsp oil

1 tsp finely chopped ginger

2 tsp minced garlic

1 stalk of broccoli, sliced diagonally

1/3 carrot, sliced diagonally

1 medium onion, sliced

Mixture A

1 tsp soy sauce

1 tsp Chinese cooking wine

2 tsp corn starch

Mixture B

2 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp soy sauce

Mix beef with mixture A, let stand for 15 minutes.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok, add beef and stir-fry until cooked. Remove and set aside.

Heat 1 tbsp oil and add broccoli, carrots and onion, stir-fry for 2 minutes. Put in mixture B and stir-fry, then add beef and mix weel.

Serve hot over rice.
