Luanne's Orange Ginger Stew

Vegetable oil 

1 lb stewing beef, sprinkled with salt and pepper 

2 onions, chopped 

1 tsp minced ginger 

10oz can beef broth 

¾ cup orange juice 

½ orange marmalade 

Generous splash soy sauce 

1 tbsp Chinese 5-spice 

Handful bean sprouts 

1 bunch green onions, chopped 

Handful cilantro 

In large pot over medium-high heat, add oil and sear meat until evenly browned. Remove meat and set aside.

Add onions and ginger to pot, stir until slightly brown. Return meat to pot, add broth, juice, marmalade, soy sauce, 5 spice powder. Bring to a summer. Place lid and simmer until meat is tender, about an hour. Taste and season if necessary.

Serve with bean sprouts, green onions and cilantro.
