Westminster Hall

Today the Queen's coffin was moved into Westminster Hall. The whole thing was televised on the BBC World Channel which we get over here. Plus there was plenty of coverage from the local channels over here, even the local channels are covering the laying in state. Queues have formed leading into Parliament. The queue goes through security in the lords Car Park, then out to Victoria Gardens for an airport style queing system. Then out to Lambeth bridge, finally down the south bank right down to Tower Bridge and potentially beyond. The wait time is standing at around 5 hours currently.

Weather wise, it was a bit rainy this morning so we decided to head out to the shops for a look about and maybe get some more supplies for the apartment.

It was a bit surreal watching all this from home with the sea just out of the window.

Wal-Mart has it's Halloween displays, including this odd green twix sweets.

Once we'd done what we wanted to, we drove back to the apartment and after some food, we went down to the pool. The weather was being kind and the sunset was actually the best we've seen so far this holiday.

Dinner tonight was a take-out from the local chinese take-away, China 1. It has the same person serving there as served us for the last few years. Food was very nice.
