The flight was unremarkable. I didn't get much sleep as the person in front immediately put their chair right back (which hit my knees) and wouldn't sit still for the first part of the flight. Perhaps it was their first flight, I dunno. All that meant was that I had them bouncing their chair against me for a couple of hours :(

I tried to sleep for a while, but I don't think I was that successful. Eventually, we crossed over the UK, passing over the Needles at the edge of the Isle of Wight

Then as we were approaching London, you could see the Shard shining in the sunlight. It's just about visible on this photo (towards the top).

Finally landed at 8:55am so we'd picked up time on our 7h 20 minute flight (tail winds helped).

Picked up our cases - one of which had been opened by the TSA (jar of Peanut Butter in it). It looked like the case had been damaged as it was almost unlocked except for the combination part - which I couldn't undo. We picked up the car easily and, for once, had a clean trip back home. We were indoors by 10:40.

I managed to get the case open finally and it looks like the combination had slipped one digit on the central code wheel. Maybe it's wearing out, they are 15 years old, I mean!

Everything now unpacked and accounted for - including that jar of PB.
