We're down to our last two full days here in Florida. Today we decided to take a trip back up to the North end of the island and visit Bayfront Park. To carry all the stuff we wanted to bring with us we again used the "Wonder Wheeler" which is the push-chair like thing we came across in the apartment.
It folds down into the back of the car for easy carrying. Works on sand too!
We took some lunch with us and ate it on the beach. It's always amazing how the seagulls suddenly appear whenever anyone rattles a plastic bag.
It was quite cloudy today, but never cold. Indeed the onshore breeze kept things from getting too cold.
I tried a GoPro timelapse with it sitting in the sand.
But something must have jammed the works as it didn't rotate all the way around as I'd planned.
Once we had had enough, we drove on to the nearby pier where there's a very nice ice-cream parlour.
Then a quick stroll up the pier before returning to the apartment.
Before getting home, we stopped off at the rental place to collect the refund we'd arranged with them at the start of our holiday. It was over the closure of the pool for a few days for repairs. We arrived on the 6th and the pool was back in action on the 9th. From that we got a refund of $160 which was actually a little more than we were expecting. A refund of $50 a day had been mentioned. Still no complaints here!
Dinner tonight was at the Olive Garden (Italian place). Where Linda had another different cocktail.
