[14:00 EDT]

Sitting in the new Starbucks in Disney Springs (Downtown Disney as was). Been a bit of a hectic morning.

We were up at 6:30, breakfast and shower then packing the remaining stuff into the cases. As expected, all cases were over 23kg, one 25.2kg. Yikes.

Lots of (heavy) cases

They fitted into the car OK.

We were out of the apartment by 9:45 and had returned the keys by 10:15. Then we had the 120-odd miles to drive back to Orlando and Disney Springs for the early check-in which ends at 13:00.

Initial map route on Waze suggested arrival at 12:20-ish.

Soon after we got not one but two accident alerts on I4.

Even with the automatic detour and having to find somewhere to park, we only got to the check in at 12:55pm. Cutting it close doesn't justify it!

Both lorries were closed and they were packing up as we rolled up.

Ironically, the fact that we were so late meant we did not get any issue with the case weight, as they could not be bothered to make us rearrange anything. So just three stickers of shame for us!

We are back in the area in December so after the check in, we drove over to see the hotel we will be staying at. It's a new one for us and looks quite nice.

Then back to Disney Springs to try out the new car parks, we got in easily and we are under cover too, so win win.

Linda instantly spots a Starbucks, so in we go.

After our Starbuck in Disney Springs, we decided to have a walk through the place to see what's new.

A walk around Disney Springs

It's a few years since we looked around there and it's so much better - lots more outlets and plenty more parking.

In the end we spent a couple of hours just wandering about. Finally it was time to get back to the car for the drive to the airport. That was pretty straight forward and we arrived at the rental place just on 5pm (about 45 minutes before our planned drop off).

Then is was into the airport proper, getting through security and getting to the gate. As usual, my rucksack was pulled out for closer inspection. Although this time the guy didn't pull it apart, rather he just swabbed it and that was that.

We went over on the little train to the gate area and waited there for about half hour. During this time we both got changed into something more suitabe for the UK climate. Then it was time to board.

We took off less than ten minutes after our scheduled time.
