Saturday 25th October

As it's our last full day in Florida (we fly out tomorrow evening) we decided to get up early and go and watch the sunrise. This time, we stayed on foot, crossing the road over to a small trailer area which is up against the waterway stretching East (the island is very thin where we are staying).

Off for a sunrise

So we spent some time there, arriving 10 minutes before the sun came up.

Whilst we were waiting, Linda got chatting to one of the residents about the area. It's a 55+ residential area where people stay there either permanently or over long periods.

Once the sun was up, we headed back to the apartment for some breakfast.

Linda then set about packing up some of the items we will be taking home with us tomorrow (is it that time already??) That took her a hour or so after which she went out onto the balcony for a suntan top-up and a read of her latest story (I think she's read 7 books this holiday).

Lunch followed.

Lunch time

Following that, we headed off down to the beach for a last sunset. I picked up the chairs and umbrella that we'd been keeping in the car whilst we were here (save carrying them upstairs all the time). Unfortunately, it had left the car in a mess with sand everywhere, so I gave it a quick clean up.

Needs a clean out

Then it was down to the beach. You can see us in the middle of this video. We were there for three and a half hours. So peaceful.

Once it had gotten dark, we got changed and headed to the Outback restaurant again for a meal. Linda got her last cocktail in (two actually).

Back to the Outback

Then back home for the final pack up. We'll be off fairly early tomorrow as we have a two hour drive back to Orlando to get rid of our cases. We fly tomorrow evening at 9pm.
