Wednesday 12th

Just back from the beach. We'd had driven over to the eastern side of the island to the Bayfront Beach (the first place we went to when we visited Anna Maria Island many years ago).
The beach is a thin slip of land, but as it faces out over the bay, it is a nice place to stop.
What we didn't realise was that the wind was coming in from the East, so was coming directly onto the beach. This meant that the waves were bigger than we would normally see there, plus it was a lot more breezy than the beach on our side.
Still, it was warm and dry, so we sat there on the chairs we had bought last year (they were still in the apartment!) and had a light lunch whilst reading and taking the odd photo. Although we'd both gone over in bathing clothes, it wasn't the weather to go into the sea.
By the time we packed up (about 4 hours later) it was clouding over quite a lot. There's no rain forecast, but it certainly looked like it!
Now back in the apartment and thinking of dinner...

We decided on the local Chinese which we've been to before. I drove over and got some food whilst Linda prepared the plates and drink at home. Watched some stuff on Netflix after.
