Nestor Blows Past
Overnight we had more wind and lightning, most of which I managed to sleep through!
Looking out this morning, the roads are a little flooded, but then that often happens outside after heavy rain.
The TV forecast shows more rain for the next few hours. We are near Bradenton, just by the small red blob at the bottom of the map there.
We're nearing the end of packing up. :(
Last View
We packed up and took a last look out onto the balcony. Wind was still strong which was blowing the waves a lot. However, there were small areas of blue to be seen in the sky.
It was still warm.
Spooky Lift
We left the apartment and drove the short distance to the rental office to return the keys.
They had decorated their lift for hallowe'en.
Heading North
As we were not in a hurry, we drove north, over the Skyway Bridge and stopped briefly at their rest area. They too had some decorations.
Stopped for a Coffee or three
We drove into Tampa and found a Starbucks just before the airport. There we killed some time before check-in at the airport.
Drop Off
We dropped off the car at the rental return. I'd forgotten to refill the petrol tank (it was maybe half empty) so I assume that will cost me something extra.
Tampa Airport
Then it was onto the train for the last part of our US holiday. We dropped off the cases at check-in and headed to gate F90 (right at the end of course) for boarding.
The Last Sunset
We took off at 18:32 from Tampa for a 8h 03m trip back to the UK.
Soon after we took off, we got to see the last US sunset.
