Linda had picked out a boat trip earlier in the week and today was the date we'd picked. It was another lovely morning, almost cloudless once more. In the morning we sat in the apartment, reading or preparing for later. Finally, we drove the 10 minutes down to the dock which is very close to the place we stayed at last year.

It was only a simple boat, more like a barge, but the captain and his mate were a good show, keeping the chatter going and pointing out interesting things.

The captain commented that today (this was his third trip today) had been once of the clearest water days he's seen recently. Indeed, once we got out into the main Gulf area you could indeed see to the bottom of the sea bed in what the captain was saying was 10 feet deep water. We saw lots of smaller fish, jelly fish and one large fish which initially we thought was a dolphin, but according to two fishermen who were one the beach right near to the shape, it was a hammerhead shark. We never saw its fin though, so who knows.

We circled around a small island in the main waterway, spotting a pair of Osprey in the trees along the coast.

Finally, we started heading in, with everyone looking for dolphin as they were the only things we'd not seen yet. It was me that spotted them, quite close to the dock we were heading towards. It turned out there were at least three adults and two baby dolphins. We spent a good 10 minutes watching them swim around before returning to the dock.

We were planning to go out to the cinema in the evening, so we drove from the dock out to get something to eat. We chose Perkins.

After the meal, we returned home for a hour before going out to the Regal Cinema nearby to see Gravity in 3D. Pretty good film in my opinion.
