Sunday October 13th

A quieter day again today. We were in the room for a couple of hours in the morning before we escaped the cool air conditioning for the rapidly rising temperatures as we walked along the beach. Linda got her first "Girl! You are seriously burnt!" comment from one of the Americans that we walked past on the sand. In all honesty, it's not that bad at the moment. But the comment is more likely caused by the woman not realising that mottled lobster is a natural colour for holidaying Brits!

Back to the beach

Once back indoors it was time for something to eat. I'd tracked down the F1 on TV here in the US. It's a bit like the F1 was with ITV initially - even the highlights were chopped up with adverts. As the race was in Japan, it was shown live here... but at 1:30AM ! A little too early for me.

After the race we went for a dip in the sea, which started out OK, but the late afternoon breeze started to get chilly, so we headed back to the pool side, where it was a steady 90'F

Back to the pool

Tonight we're going to try the Outback Steakhouse, 15 minutes away back on the mainland. We've been there before and enjoyed it tremendously.

Before we left we caught the best sunset so far.

Food at the Outback was very nice too.
