We landed at a little foggy Gatwick at 06:25. A total flight time of just 7 hours, 21 minutes, pretty fast. That tail-wind also ensured that the early part of the flight, at least, was quite bumpy without ever needing to have the seatbelt light turned back on. I read for a while, then messed about on the PC until the battery died. Then it was time to collapse the chair into a bed and try to see if I could sleep.

I must have nodded off for a couple of hours or so as when I woke up, we were only 2 hours from home. Breakfast was served.

After landing, we packed up our stuff, this time checking we'd not left anything under any chairs!

Very fast through security. Then we got to the baggage hall. No sign of a carousel number for the first 10 minutes, but this time the place was heaving. We had FIVE cases to collect. The first 4 came out within 5 minutes of the first bag. All good there. However, we must have stood waiting for the last case (an old blue Samsonite) for ages. A good 20-30 minutes at least. I was getting nervous that it wouldn't appear. But finally it did pop out.

Homeward drive through the foggy countryside and we were indoors by 09:08 BST.

On unpacking we saw that the two cases with food in it, the two new Samsonites, had both been opened. That was expected, but the TSA had just sliced off the colour ribbon that we'd put around the cases (the ribbons were combination locked). So they are destined for the bin.

On the good new side, all the Peanut Butter we brought home survived the journey.

Happy days!
