[19:19]

Today was our second moving day and the first where we needed to pack everything up from scratch (the first move from the Omni only involved a couple of overnight items going back into a case). This time, everything had been unpacked and needed repacking. Luckily, we were not under and constraints to get each back to 23KG.

We got it all into the car - just about.

We manage to get it all in - just

And that included two beach chairs, food and a clothes horse too (don't ask).

We set off in the wrong direction. No, the sat nav was fine - but Linda wanted to pay a visit to just one last shop before we left Anna Maria. Finally though, we were on our way.

I must admit, we wanted to travel off the interstate to see some of the sights and perhaps drive along the coast roads, but to be honest it was a fairly mundane route and the fact that we'd not used i75 meant that it took about 45 minutes longer than it needed to.

Still, it gave us a chance to re-visit and old haunt - Port Charlotte which we'd stayed at way back in 2010. We stopped off here to have something to eat at the local Perkins. They had a fun Halloween display by the door.

After that it was a straight drive through Fort Myers and on to Sanibel Island via their big bridge. It was just 10 minutes once we'd crossed it before we were at the apartments (or Condos as they refer to the place). It's a four block set of 16 apartments (4 per floor) and we're in the top corner of one of the blocks, this gives us a good view of the beach (albeit through an insect netting) and best of all - from my point of view - we've got a wi-fi receiver in our actual room, so internet access should be nice and strong (it was so-so in the Anna Maria place).

There are more of these photos in the slideshow at the bottom. Remember, you can click the slideshow to see all the photos in their daily albums.

We popped down to the beach just briefly around sunset time, but to my disappointment, all the buildings nearby face directly South and it's not possible to see the sunset directly.

We might be luckier with the sunrise.
