[20:56 EDT]

Today was our 'spare' day in Sanibel - we had nothing special planned so we jumped onto a couple of resort bikes and cycled along the cycle route that covers the southern part of the island. It was quite a nice route, going past all the hotels and resorts that line that part of the road.

Once we'd reached Tarpon Road, we turned North and back onto the main road, Periwinkle Road. Even this had its own cycle route and it was there that I caught sight of my first wild snake this holiday - a Black Runner, I think. Not venomous. IT was hiding in the undergrowth that we cycled past - needless to say, I didn't mention it to Linda until a lot later :)

We stopped for lunch at a place called the Island Cow - not bad food, too big portions!

Linda was suffering from the ride by the time we set off for the last leg, so we went straight back to the resort. We were out for a couple of hours - covering 10.4 miles according to the GPS tracker.

The weather today has been cloudier, but still very warm - 80-ish I'd say. So to cool down, we popped into the pool for a couple of hours.

Ended the evening with part of a pizza - the rest is sitting in a box next to the Microwave as I type.

Oh - a nice sunset too tonight!

Linda's been packing a little tonight - for tomorrow we move to our next location :)
