[22:12 EDT]

Another moving day for us. So once breakfast had been cleared up, we finished our packing and took one last swing around the resort for some last photos.

We were on our way by 10:45 and back on the mainland about 45 minutes later as we had to visit a couple of last minute shops.

The journey up to Port Charlotte is keeping us ahead of the duller weather. We left Sanibel under white cloud, no rain though. By the time we pulled into the Banana Bay Motel we were back in blue sky. The cloud it slowly creeping north though, so we might see some rain later in tomorrow.

The place itself is just off of the main road as you come off the bridge. So there's a lot of traffic moving past all the time, fortunately, we're right at the back of the motel so we can only hear the loudest of V8's. :)

Grabbed a quick 15 minutes on Skype to chat to Jason

Actually, we're in a very nice position, right on the edge of a boating dock. Outside our door is the shuffle board area and a massive hammock (perhaps tomorrow!) to our right, is a long dock that houses some fishing boats right at the end.

For most of the afternoon, we sat on the edge of the dock, reading / playing on the DS and listening to the fish leaping and splashing about under the dock. They were gong crazy at times, making quite a racket. We didn't see any dolphins, sharks or manatee (it's the wrong time of the year for them anyway). We did get to hear one of the locals story of the local 4ft shark that keeps getting away.

Finally, the sun started to set, we grabbed our cameras and started clicking. It was quite a nice sunset too.

We popped down to the local Perkins (6 miles away) for some dinner then bought some milk and stuff from the Publix on the way back.
