[10:05 EST+1]

With the weather steadily improving, it was time to get near the water rides. So we drove over to Animal Kingdom for early part of the day. Our plans were to have a quick sweep around there then move on to EPCOT to see the fireworks again in the evening.

As forecast, the temperature has jumped up about 15' since yesterday - it was still very sunny and as a result, it was very pleasant.

We wandered over to the Asia sector to grab some fast passes for Everest (plus I did a quick ride on single rider). We then moved to the River Rapids ride. Linda had (for once) remembered her poncho, I just had my pride!

This time on the ride we actually didn't end up going down backwards (as is normally the case) but once we'd got past that bit with just a bit of splashing. However, we both got caught on one of the sideways hoses that sent a jet of water straight across the middle of where we were sitting. Enough to say I got covered!

Linda's poncho did the job.

Luckily, unlike last year, all our electronic equipment survived the dunking.

We stopped for some food - for once this holiday, we found a place in Disney that was actually offering something tasty and not costing the earth. It was a small place in the Asia area offering Sweet & Sour chicken. Linda had some honey Chicken, with rice. Quite tasty!

We returned to the Everest ride so I could do the fastpass rides, then quickly found ourselves a place for the parade that started soon after.

We made our way out of the park, but just before we got to the exit, Linda spotted a character meet down by the river. We tracked back to entrance to the meet and we were greeted by Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore! Needless to say, Linda was in her element.

Finally we left Animal Kingdom and drove over to Epcot. It was already getting dark so we walked up to the American showcase area to see the animatronic show there. Then it was time for the fireworks over the lake.

It was another good show and, for once, we weren't frozen solid once the show had ended.
