Here we are waiting to take off - I'm in the very front seat, underneath the flight deck, which meant that you got all the odd sounds when the undercarriage went up and down.
One of the main plus points of an upper class flight is the ability to make the seat into a bed so you can sleep, however, despite my best efforts this didn't happen for me mainly because it was one of the bumpiest flights I've ever taken. From maybe somewhere around New York, right over Canada and Iceland and even over Ireland, every few seconds, the plane would get bumped by turbulence. It wasn't big movements, but it was frequent enough to keep me awake most of the flight. I'd describe it as driving over a bad road... for 7 hours!

Not that there's much interesting about the footwear, but see the black bag under the seat? Yup I left my camera on the plane when we arrived at Gatwick. Normally I'd only keep stuff in the overhead lockers, but today, sitting at the front of the plane, we didn't have proper lockers, so I had to stow some stuff under the stool thing and promptly walked off without it.
For some reason, as I was leaving, I took a photo of the seats where we were sitting.
You can just see the camera bag still under the seat on the left. It's got my GoPro in there too :(
I've raised a lost property claim on the Gatwick site - they take three days to respond. Fingers crossed.
The drive home was immediately slowed due to what looked like a big accident on the M23 - the central reservation was being rebuilt as we drove past, so something must have crossed over. Added maybe 35 minutes to the journey.

Ouch.
