[22:54 PDT]

We were at Disneyland today. It's our first time there, of course.

We'd walked there from the hotel and were waiting whilst the countdown was starting to let the people in at 10am.

[08:15 PDT]

My cunning plan was to go straight over to Tomorrowland and get a fastpass from Space Mountain then immediately move onto Finding Nemo's sub ride. However, I was thwarted on two counts - one : Space Mountain ride was being repaired when I got there. Two: World+kids all decided to do the same as me. That meant we had a 40 minute wait for Nemo (ouch). I was worrying that it was going to be like that all the time. But when we moved on to another ride, that was literally walk on (so we did it twice). The remainder of the park was busy, but not heaving like we've seen in Florida.

One of the first things we ran into was Pooh Bear and Eeyore just standing outside one of the rides - perfect photo opportunity.

Over the course of the day we got everything done barring Thunder Mountain. Space Mountain was back up and running some time after I was there and the queue was just 5 minutes. I did try some Fastpass tickets, but to be honest, the line I skipped using them was minimal.

One surprise was that the Haunted Mansion was open. According to the front gate, this was closed and wouldn't re-open until Friday but we managed to go right through it.

The weather really was getting warm by the mid afternoon. According to the weather summery yesterday (I'm writing this on the 25th) Disneyland reached 93' - it certainly felt like it. However, the lack of Florida humidity meant you didn't flag when it got to it's warmest.

Eventually, the sun started to set and things began to cool down. We left the park tired, but happy how things had gone.

For an evening meal we walked over to the Cheesecake Factory which is near our hotel. Sadly, neither of us managed to eat any cheesecake as the size of the meal meant we were both full before desert arrived. If they want to sell more cheesecake, they should definitely reduce the size of the portions!

Once back in the hotel, I did start to write this entry, but was just too tired!
