Great news everyone....This week we will be starting a project! Below are a copies of both of the choices for your project. Thats right...you have a choice between two.
You will have to complete one (not both)! The good news is, you will have all of this week and the week after to complete it.
This means we will be expecting them to be of a high quality. This will also give you a good chance to work on your organisational skills and plan out what you will do each day to complete the project. If you plan to do a little each day it wont take very long at all.
This is an additional project to all your other subjects so you are still expected to upload all of your Reading, Writing, Math and Spelling each day....and work on this also.
TODAY--We suggest you have a really good look through both of the projects and make a decision on which one you would like to complete.
Make a list and plan out what you plan to do each day to complete your project.

Activity 1 – Writing Seed
Today we will be creating our own “Watermelon Moment” seed. This will include picking an important moment in our life and ‘zooming’ in on that moment. This is a fantastic way to describe our thoughts, feelings and small moments we may sometimes overlook in life.
The task will include drawing a watermelon with the heading ‘Watermelon Moment”. We must pick an important time in our life here.
Then we include a drawing of a slice of watermelon with the heading ‘Slice Moment’. This is where we unpack the original moment into more specific things that happened. At least THREE.
Finally, we include a drawing of the watermelon’s seeds with the heading ‘Seed Moment’. Next to each seed (at least THREE) is where we can include pinpoint examples of things that happened that we may not notice at first. These could include feelings and thoughts that we had.
Here is an example of mine:
Activity 2
Writers Workshop
We can now move onto our Writer’s Workshop. You still have the freedom to write what you wish, but we still expect you to take pride in your work.
Here are a few things we expect you to follow while creating your writing piece:
Freedom to write what you wish
Taking pride in your work
Writing in a peaceful and quiet environment (you could work outside in the sunshine, listen to some music if it helps you think etc.)
Following the Seven Steps and the Writing Process
This is also a fantastic opportunity to upload your work and receive some conferencing notes from your teacher!
