This week we will be enjoying 'Wellbeing Wednesday'. We've planned lots of fun activities to help you to be mindful, healthy and connected.
Don't forget that we have whole class Google Meets every Monday and Friday at 9.45am. Each student also has a Literacy Group conference during the week. The Google Meet schedule is available at the very top of this page, if you are unsure please contact your child's teacher.

Your child should watch (a as in ant).
Your child will choose lesson 16.
Students choose 8 words from the weekly spelling list that suit them.
Spelling Lists are already pasted into their Spelling Book.
They will also choose 2 'BOB' or 'Opportunity' words that they would like to practise. These words do not need to have the weekly spelling focus in them. These words might be from the students writing or new words that they have learnt from their reading lessons this week.
Learning intention: We are learning to use an array to solve maths problems.
Success Criteria: I can create a picture that uses arrays and then show the multiplication problem.
Warm up: Flowers or Spider Webs
A way to get our brains into maths mode is to play a game or do a quick activity that helps you practise your skills. I explain how these work in the video but there is also a photo down below to show you how it works.
Activity: Today’s activity allows students to get a bit creative while also practising their multiplication skills. Students will create a night time city skyline. The windows in the buildings will form an array. Students can then write the multiplication equation and answer to match their windows below on the building. Please see the Teaching Video and picture below for examples.
Chilli levels- challenge yourself- what arrays can you make that you know the answer to?
Or use this as a guide
Mild- 3X4, 3X5, 2X3, 4X5
Spicy- 5X5, 3X10, 3X6, 4X6
Hot- 7X3, 12X2, 10X5, 8X3 or anything you would like to challenge yourself with.
Make sure you include the answer.
Every day you can choose one Specialist activity you would like to complete for the day. Remember there are five Specialist areas; Art, Performing Arts, STEM, Indonesian and Blue Earth.
