WATCH Miss White’s video introducing your activities for today.

ACTIVITY

WATCH 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' (the second film - 2005).
While you are watching, write down some observations in your Venn Diagram (at least 5 in each section):
- Similarities between both movies AND the book (in the middle part that shows all three circles overlapping).
- Similarities between this movie and the book (in the part that shows these two circles overlapping).
- Similarities between both movies (in the part that shows these two circles overlapping).
- Things that only happen in this movie (in the part of that circle only).

** I recommend watching this movie with your family, and pulling the blinds / curtains, finding your comfortable spot on the couch and settling in with your movie snacks (POPCORN!).**

Use your ipad and your knowledge of persuasive, descriptive and informative language to design a brochure advertising tours of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

Consider some things that would be highlights for visitors, how much it would cost, what kind of entertainment might be provided or if any gifts or tasters could be included in tour.

You could even create a few different types of tours!

WORD FIND OR CROSSWORD

Create a word find or crossword using words from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

You could even use words that you inferred the meaning of in your Expanding Vocabulary!

Writing

Learning Intention:

We are learning how to publish our writing as a Health app.

Success Criteria:

I can explore the Keynote app and learn about it’s features

I can use Keynote to create an app for my Health Information Report.

This week we are also publishing our HEALTH Information Reports. For our Health Information Reports, we are going to be publishing by creating an app using Keynote.

It’s very important that you watch the following video in which Miss White takes you through how to use Keynote!
