Learning Intention: We are learning to use templates to assist our writing
Success Criteria: We will be successful when we write a recount using a template.
Today you will be going over some of the important aspects that make up recounts.
Step 1: To jog your memory on what makes up a recount try to re-assemble the scrambled text provided below
Step 2: Use the template to help you put the text back in the correct order. Remember that recounts are sequential, this means that the information is placed in order of events from first to last. You can either re write it in your book or use a word doc, up to you.
Step 3: Have a look at the document that is correctly sequenced to see how you went.
Step 4: Using the template, try to outline exactly what happened in the text using the subheadings (Title, orientation, what happened, final events).
Step 4: Now try to write a short recount using the skills you just went over, make sure you use the template to help you when ordering the events that took place, you can write this in your writing book. You may wish to write a recount about what you did on the weekend or your morning routine before starting your online day! You can write about anything you want, these are just 2 examples you can use if you are stuck.
Step 5: Upload your work to google classroom.
Learning Intention: We are learning to set up our weekly spelling program online.
We will be successful if we:
Highlight the 8 words we want to study this week
Add 2 BOB words to our spelling list
Upload our weekly spelling words to our google classroom.
Lesson 13: /r/ making the sound 'r' as in rain
Students to highlight the words they have chosen soccer to study for the week- 8 from the list, and 2 from BOB list.
