Good morning, Year 1. If you haven't done so already, please upload your procedural text from last week.
Learning Intention- We are learning about the digraph /oo/ as in moon.
Success Criteria- I can identify the /00/ sound in my words

Write out all your selected /00/ words, for the /oo/ sound use the colour =green and for every other letter use the colour orange.
Learning Intention- We are learning about rhyming poems.
Success Criteria- I can create my own rhyming bank.
Activity
Today you are going to create your own rhyming bank. The topic you are going to use is ‘beach.' So write that as your heading at the top of your page in your learning book. Then, come up with three or more words that come to mind when you think about the beach. Once you have these words, you are then going to see if you can think of some words that rhyme with each of them. You’ll see, you can make a rhyme any old time!

Success Criteria- I can write my own card with meaning for dad for Father’s day
You will need -Greylead, lined paper, white paper, publishing tools, pencils, textas...
Activity
-First we will draft our message for Dad.
Your audience is your Dad not any old Dad.
-Look back at Monday’s notebook page.
-Circle the things on that page that make your Dad so special to you.
-Write your Dad a message like you are talking to him. Tell him why it is that you love him so much. The message only has to be two or three sentences long but it has to be special.
-Edit, Proof read and Publish.
-Make a magnificent card for your Dad and slip your published letter and acrostic inside.
I bet this will be so great your Dad will keep it forever.

Success Criteria:
I can describe how long familiar events take.
I can identify things that take a long time or short time to do.
I can say the days of the week in order.
I can say the months of the year in order.

TIME WARM-UP ACTIVITY:
Practise writing the days of the week, months of the year and the seasons.
Questions:
How many days in a week?
What day is it today? Tomorrow? In three days?
Rule the above table in your Math Book:
Worksheet: Print the worksheet then sort the activities by the length of time taken (cut and paste into the chart).
Use stop watches, egg timers etc. to help you distinguish units of time.
Every day you can choose one Specialist activity you would like to complete for the day. The Specialist areas are: Art, Performing Arts, STEM, Indonesian and PE (Physical Education).
