The focus today is on considering why characters experiencing the same event acted differently. The questions today will help you to consider why each character acted the way they did, and what emotion was behind their actions.

Step 2: The questions on the task sheet will help you to consider the different points of view with Sarah, Mrs Owen, Sam and the Aborigianl family. Set yourself 20 minutes on a timer and answer as many of the questions as you can within that time frame. Task Sheet

Today we are aiming to publish our historical recount. Once again, if you haven’t self-edited your draft, please do this first.
Step 1: Use your self-edited recount to begin your published piece.
This published piece will become your ‘script’, so ensure it is both neat & that you have used a large enough font to be able to read it from a distance.
**This is a perfect opportunity to put your amazing and refined handwriting into practise!
Step 2: Once you are happy with your published piece, a final check is required.
Please reread your writing, to ensure it is all correct.
Step 3: Upload your completed published piece to Google Classroom

Step 2: Complete the spelling task ‘Waterfall’ by following the instructions below.

Warm Up:
As a warm up today we are practising finding the area of shapes that have diagonal lines across grids. Watch the video for today and attempt to solve these three problems as a warm up.
What is the area of Shape 1? Shape 2? Shape 3? Order these shapes from largest to smallest.
Main:
First we are going to practice finding the area of a few squares and rectangles from yesterday.
Then we are learning and applying the formula for triangles.

Find 3 objects/areas (that are triangles) around the house you can estimate, and later measure, the area of. If you can’t find any, draw your own or cut a square/rectangle object in half!
