Today we are focusing on finishing off pages in our Charlie Journals.
Here is a list of things for you to finish:
CHAPTER SUMMARIES
Chapter 1: Here Comes Charlie.
While reading the description of Charlie’s home life, begin to make comparisons between the ways that Charlie lives to your own lives. Create a Venn diagram in your journals and compare any differences and similarities.
Chapter 2: Mr Willy Wonka’s Factory
Answer these questions to reflect on the chapter:
*What does Grandpa Joe think of Mr Willy Wonka?
*Why does Grandpa Joe talk so enthusiastically when talking to Charlie?
*On page 12 and 13, Grandpa Joe describes a number of impossible inventions that Willy Wonka has made up. Do you really think Mr Willy Wonka has done all these things?
Chapter 3: Mr Wonka and the Indian Prince
Why do you think Mr Wonka accepted the job from Prince Pondicherry if he knew the chocolate palace would melt?
*Chocolate palace mental image*
Chapter 4: The Secret Workers
How would you have felt as Willy Wonka if spies were stealing your things and using them? Explain your answer.

Today we are focusing on bookwork expectations.
Copy out the bookwork templates into your English and Maths books (the templates are attached to the post in Google Classroom).
We demand a high standard of bookwork, even during remote learning! During the last remote learning period, we noticed the standard slip significantly. We will not accept a repeat of that!
Over the coming weeks, it is YOUR job to uphold a high standard of presentation in all written tasks. If your work isn't at the required standard, you will need to do it again!
Please copy out these bookwork expectations (they are attached as images to this post) into your Maths and English books, and use them when completing your work during remote learning.
Today we are focusing on finishing off our Maths Essential Assessments, PAT Maths and Mathletics.
These activities are listed in order of importance, which means please do number 1 first and work through. Most of you will have finished your PAT Maths and Essential Assessments, so you can go straight to finishing off your set tasks in Mathletics.
1. PAT Maths
2. Essential Assessment addition post-test
3. Essential Assessment subtraction post-test
4. Essential Assessment multiplication pre-test
5. Essential Assessment division
6. Finish ALL set tasks on Mathletics
