Warm-up: Rocket Writing - 10 Questions (10 minutes)
This week, for each writing warm up, you will need a timer/watch.
Each activity will go for 10 minutes.

*Use your Writer’s notebook to make a list of questions to ask your parents/guardians about when they were growing up.
*It might be about their family, hobbies, friends, their school, funny stories, horrible teachers etc.
*Circle your 10 best questions and ask them those questions tonight!
MAIN ACTIVITY: PROCEDURAL WRITING
This week we are learning about writing a procedure.
We read and write a lot of them to help us learn or understand something.

We will answer these questions this week!
Step 1: Watch the clip below to find out what a procedural piece of writing is.
Step 2: Click on the powerpoint presentation below to go over some examples and your task for today.
Step 3:
Create a ‘seed’ page on possible ideas for your procedural writing. (Think about skills or tasks you have improved over remote learning).
Choose 1 idea that you would like to work on this week.
Step 4: Using the planning template, begin to plan out your writing.

Add 2 BOB words to our spelling list
Upload our weekly spelling words to our google classroom.
Students to highlight the words they have chosen soccer to study for the week- 8 from the list, and 2 from BOB list.
They then complete the ‘Monday’ column on the Weekly Spelling Sheet and stick into spelling books.
