Learning Task:
Today we are going to revise and then publish a good copy of our narrative text.
Re read you story.
Add any extra ideas you can to make it should even more interesting- think about the feedback you received. This video below shows in more detail how to revise your work.

This is the Reading Learning Task for Term 3 and will be assessed and reported on via Compass.
This task will also be visible on the end of year report.
Learning intention:I can spell words with the digraph /mb/ as in lamb and the graph /m/ as in mouse, both making the sound "m".

Learning Intention: We are learning to tell the time on both analogue and digital clocks.
Success Criteria: I understand what the big, minute hand and the little, hour hand are telling me.
Chilli Levels: All games listed have differing levels as students will discover and can adjust accordingly.
As a guide-
Mild- o’clock and half past
Spicy- quarter past and quarter to
Hot- times to the minute
Warm Up: What’s the time Mr Wolf? How many people in your family can you recruit to play? Students can try half past times where people can only take half a step, and quarter past- step to the right (3 direction), quarter to-step to the left (9 direction).

This website (see below)has a list of 11 different games that students could try- all work on a computer (you may have to ‘allow’ Flash for some to load). The first one listed- Teaching Clock- is one we have used previously. The 11th game- Splat- is listed on page 2. Activities 1, 2, 6, 9, 10 and 11 are all accessible on iPads. They have varying focuses and levels so have a play around and see what works best for your child.
Alternative Games- Dominoes and Matching
These printable cards can be used in two ways. Use like dominoes matching each new time end to end OR cut out the digital times and snail analogue times separately and simply match each time. The Teaching Video gives a demonstration of this. Again, this activity involves different levels. Students are welcome to remove cards that they don’t feel ready for or may require more parent support.
Learning Intention: We are learning how to stay active at home.
Success Criteria:
I can practice skipping and jumping moving skills.
I can practice stretching, landing, skipping tricks or any other chosen movements to get my body active.
10 minute moving challenge: Skipping Tricks
Try to practice for at least 10 minutes. Then repeat 3 x if you want a 30 minute workout. Don’t forget to mix it up or add your own skills.
End: Don’t forget to pack up and drink some water.
Reflection:
Did I warm up before I started?
Could I do any cool tricks?
Could I skip backwards?
Alternatively: You could try these movements:
Jumping over an object. E.g. A pair of socks, a pair of shoes, a cushion or something in your yard. Choose something that can’t break.

Every day you can choose one Specialist activity you would like to complete for the day. Remember there are five Specialist areas; Art, Performing Arts, STEM, Indonesian and Blue Earth.
