Introduction: Today you are going to watch Ms Baeck read ‘How the Kangaroos got their Tails’.
Activity: Today you are going to work alongside Ms Baeck’s video to answer questions about ‘How the Kangaroos got their Tails’. Ms Baeck will read the story first. After reading the book, Ms Baeck will ask some questions. Make sure to pause the video after each question to give yourself time to write or draw the answer. Ms Baeck will give the answer straight after you have answered the question.
Questions
How many kangaroos were there in the story?
How did they describe the plains kangaroo?
How did they describe the hill kangaroo?
What did both kangaroos like to eat?
Why was the big kangaroo so angry?
Has there been a time when someone tricked you? How did you feel?
Challenge: What did you learn from this story? What do you think the story message is?
Reading Eggs: Today you get to choose your own Reading Eggs activities to do.

I start with a capital letter and end with a full stop.

Introduction:
Listen to Miss G as she reads the book ‘Dear Zoo’.
Watch as she writes her own page for the story that includes describing words ( using the sentence prompts).
Activity
Write your own page to put in the Dear Zoo book.
Make sure you include a great describing word…. and have a go at the challenge sentence that has lots of describing words.
You will know you are finished when...
You have copied the sentences and added your animal and describing word.

Activity: After watching Mr Keys explain today’s lesson, begin to make your hands. Trace around both hands. Cut the hands out and stick them onto another piece of paper. Remember not to stick the fingers down. Using the fingers, see how many ways you can bust the number ten. The example shows 2 + 8 = 10. Two fingers are down and 8 are up. Once you have found a pattern to ten, write the matching number sentence.
You will know you are finished when….you have found all the partners to ten.
Challenge: Can you find the partners to 20.
