ACTIVITY
CREATE a Venn Diagram just like this one below, using either a blank double page in your English book, or using two pieces of A4 paper stuck together.
Draw 3 circles that all overlap. (You will need lots of room!)
*If you are lucky and your parents can print to A3, you can print the one below.*
LABEL each circle with:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Novel
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - 1971
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - 2005
WATCH 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' (the first film - 1971).
While you are watching, write down some observations (at least 5 in each section):
Similarities between this movie and the book (in the part that shows these two circles overlapping).
Things that only happen in the book (in the part of that circle only).
Things that only happen in this movie (in the part of that circle only).
** I recommend pulling the blinds / curtains, finding your comfortable spot on the couch and settling in with your movie snacks (POPCORN!).**
