Today's task to be uploaded to Google Classroom: Maths
Learning intention: We are learning to use punctuation to help us read fluently
Success Criteria: I can pause at a comma, stop at a full stop, and make my voice go up at a question mark and exclamation mark.

Watch the above video explaining today’s task.
Log in to Reading Eggspress and choose a book from the library to practise our strategy on. Read aloud to a teddy, your pet, or of course an adult. Don’t forget to pause, stop, and make your voice go up or down when you see punctuation.
After reading, continue on with your lessons in Reading Eggs.

Success Criteria: We can use correct punctuation and upper case letters when writing a recount.
Resources:
Ranger Guide
Today we are going to write about an encounter we have had with an Australian Animal in our ‘Ranger Guide’.
Pick an animal from the Ranger Guide that you have seen either in it’s natural environment or in a zoo.
Write a recount about the time you have seen that animal.
When we write we are thinking about
using lower and upper case (capital) letters correctly
using full stops, exclamation marks or question marks at the end of a sentence.
Also don't forget to include the 5 W's in your writing.
Who, What, Where, When and Why.
Learning intention: I can spell words with the prefix /re-/ meanin
Success criteria: I can break my spelling words down into the sounds I can hear.
Home learning task: Spelling Grid
This grid is pasted in the student’s Spelling Book already.
1 Write the spelling word. Say the spelling word out loud.
2. Count the sounds in your spelling word, and write the tricky part.
3. You should set it out like we have above. Repeat this for all of your spelling words.
4. Complete the Tuesday column in the weekly Spelling List we started yesterday
Learning intention: We are learning about the connection between multiplication and division. Success criteria: I can make a Fact Family house to show multiplication and division.
Warm Up: Play any of the games listed on Monday
Activity: Fact Family Houses
Again, students can make an array with counters to help work out multiplication and division facts. They will be looking for two multiplication facts and two division facts to make a Fact Family House. They will notice by making an array that only 3 numbers are required, the number in each row, the number in each column and the total. With these they can make all four equations. The teaching video gives a worked example of this. Students can complete this in their maths book or using the printable page here. Please upload this activity to Google Classroom. (see below)
