Once the journal page is complete then students can make a card, write a letter or do a poster to show Dad all the things that make him special.
Learning intention: We can spell words with the prefix /re-/ meaning repeating or backwards.
Success criteria: I can draw a picture to match my spelling words

Learning Intention: We are learning about the months and seasons of the year.
Success Criteria: I can create a September calendar page marking important dates.
Activity:
Students are to create a calendar page either using the template (link here) or creating their own on a piece of paper or in their maths book. Making their own will require a grid (array) of 5 rows and seven columns (see picture below.
-Write the heading September
-mark the days Monday to Sunday across the top
-be careful to start on a Tuesday for the 1st
-list ordinal numbers 1st- 30th
Students can then mark important dates in each box. Some to include could be:
Tuesday 1st - Indies’ birthday
Tuesday 1st- Spring begins
Sunday 6th - Father’s Day
Tuesday 8th - Leia’s birthday
Sunday 13th - Nynon’s birthday
Friday 18th- Last day of Term 2
Saturday 19th - Vinnie’s birthday
Monday 21st - Wren’s birthday
Monday 21st - Term 3 holidays begin
Tuesday 22nd - Majka’s birthday
Wednesday 30th - Koa’s birthday
