Success Criteria- I write my 8 words from my weekly spelling list independently.
-I can listen and record the sentence.
Activity-
Ask someone to read your 8 spelling words aloud to you.
Write each of your 8 spelling words into your spelling book.
Correct your own words by checking the Spelling List.
Ask someone to read the sentences below to you.
Listen to the first sentence.
Repeat the sentence aloud.
Write the sentence in your spelling book.
Re-read your sentence and point to each word. Did you hear the /ss/ words in the sentence? Are the /ss/ words spelt correctly?
Repeat with the second and third sentences.
Now correct your sentence by looking at the sentences on your computer.
Dictation Sentences:
That teacher is so bossy
Quick, pass me the ball.
My best dress is pink.
Learning Intention- We are learning how to form the letter Ww correctly.
Success Criteria- I will have page 53 of my handwriting book completed.
You will need- handwriting book, greylead, your writing piece or lined paper.

-Complete page 53 of your handwriting book then look at your writing piece and see how your Wws are going.

Learning Intention- We are learning how to create a Haiku poem.
Success Criteria- I can create a Haiku Poem using sentences.
You might choose to use today to finish off your Haiku Poem from yesterday. Here is an optional extra challenge if you are enjoying Haiku Poems and would like to take it further.
Have a go at coming up with three sentences that use only the allowed amount of syllables in them. Your first sentence can only have five syllables, the second has seven, and the third sentence has seven again. You may choose to do this about Spring or a topic of your choice. Good luck Poets!
Example
5 syllables – I love spring the most.
7 syllables – Because things change for the best.
5 syllables – Warm fun in the sun.

I can read time to the half hour on an analogue clock.
I can read time to the half hour on a digital clock.
I can match analogue to digital times.
