Activity- Select 6 words and write the words in these 3 ways.
1- In all capitals
2- A different colour for each sound
3 - Any vowel sounds (AEIOU) in red and Consonant sounds in Blue

Learning Intention- We are revising skills that help our handwriting.
We are planning a piece of writing of our choice.
Success Criteria- I can look at my handwriting and come up with a goal.
I will have a plan for my writing piece.
You will need- Handwriting book, lined paper, grey lead, learning book
Activity-
-Watch Ms Brown’s handwriting reminders teaching video.
-Complete page 50 Vv and write down your handwriting goal in your learning book. Think about your handwriting.
Are the letters a consistent size?
Do I have correct formation?
Do my letters have correct entries and exits?
Does my writing sit on the line?
Do I leave spaces between my words?
-You decided your topic and your type of writing yesterday. Are you doing a recount, a narrative, a report or a recount? We know so many text types now.
-Look at your notebook page from yesterday.
-You can use one of the planners attached or you can do your own plan on lined paper.
-Plan your writing piece well. Include details about each part, maybe some interesting words that come to mind, information about characters, anything that will help you when you start to draft.
-Remember you are the author, it needs to be your ideas, you cannot use another author’s ideas or characters.

Activity
Today you are going to have a go at completing your own shape poem. Yesterday you came up with some describing words for your topic, beginning with the same letter (alliterations).
Today you are going to have a go at adding some detail about what your topic is 'like' (similes).

Learning Intention: We are learning to read the time to the hour on an analogue and digital clock.
Success Criteria:
I can describe features of an analogue clock.
I can read o’clock times on an analogue clock.
I can read o’clock times on a digital clock.
WATCH THE VIDEOS FIRST WHICH INTRODUCE THE LESSON AND EXPLAIN WHAT TO DO.
You Will Need:
deck of playing cards or UNO cards (Remove 7 -10 cards)
paper and pencil
score sheet
Watch the video to see how to play the game.
In 30 seconds, see how many cards you can turn over and keep a running tally by adding the numbers.
After 30 seconds record the total you reach and the number of cards flipped in order to reach the total.
Hand your flipped cards to an adult who can check they add to the stated total.
Record the results on the score sheet.
Repeat and try to improve the number of cards you turn over.
You Will Need:

Did you remember all the important features?
You Will Need:
a variety of materials
Make your own clock from recycled or reusable materials.
Include the key features: numbers in the right position, hands, even spaces, etc.
Use any materials you have around the house.
It would be great if your hands could move. (Try using a split-pin).
If you don’t have any materials to use you can print the attached template and make that.
Write a description of your clock. What time does it show?
Please keep your clock as you will be using it for other activities.
SUBMIT a photo of your clock and the description. 😃
