Introduction:
Watch the YouTube story ‘The Gruffalo’.
Activity: After watching and listening to The Gruffalo, follow along with Ms Baeck and answer the set questions. Remember Ms Baeck will ask you to press pause after each question. Ms Baeck will read the answer straight after. Good luck!
Questions
How did the mouse describe the gruffalo to the fox?
What did the mouse say to the owl? Gruffalos like to eat….
Where did the mouse tell the snake he was meeting the gruffalo?
How did the mouse feel when he first saw the gruffalo?
Were the creatures really scared of the mouse? How do you know?
You will know you are finished when……..when you have answered all the questions and corrected them with Ms Baeck.
Challenge: Draw a picture of the gruffalo and write adjectives (describing words) to describe what a gruffalo looks like.

Watch Mrs Greenhalgh as she gives an example of how to write a letter to your future self and some sentence starters to help you.
Activity:
This year has certainly been a very different year. Write a letter to your future self to look back on and remember this time. You can write about what you enjoyed, what was easy as well as write about the things you found challenging and difficult.

Activity: Watch Mr Keys take you through today's lesson. Make sure you draw four examples from ‘Ten in the Bed’ and write the matching number sentence.
Example
Draw 10 animals in bed and show one falling out. Write 10 - 1 = 9
Draw 8 animals in bed and show one falling out. Write 8 - 1 = 7
You will know you are finished when…...you have drawn four examples from Ten in the Bed and written the matching number sentence.
Challenge: Instead of writing one fell out, change it to two fell out or three fell out.
