Step 3: Compare how Johanna and Owen live their lives, write in your reading book the difference in their houses, what is in their houses? Do they seem rich or poor? use details from the website to discuss these points you find
Step 4: Compare both Owen and Johanna to your own living, what is still the same? What is different? What is in your house that would not have been invented yet back then?
Step 5: Explain how both Johanna and Owen used their living spaces, this will be shown in the interactive link you have been using.
Writer's Workshop
Step 1: Go through your Writer’s Notebook and work out what writing piece you are working on. If you are not working on one currently, you will need to either start a new seed or find a seed and decide on a new writing piece to start.
Step 2: Continue writing at the stage you are at. If you have chosen a new seed, you will need to start planning a writing piece using the correct planning template like we discussed in class. Eg: If you decide to do a narrative you will need to plan your writing using a story graph template.
Step 3: Make sure you follow the Writers Workshop model: Seed - plan - draft - self edit - conference - publish. If you don’t have an opportunity to conference during your small group google meets with your teacher, or you cannot get a parent to go through your writing with you, you may move to the publishing stage, as long as you have edited carefully.
Step 4: Once a writing piece is published, go back to your Writer’s Notebook and start the process again. Remember you can always use the same seed, and use a different text type.
*Remember when publishing to be creative as possible. Try to publish in different ways and experiment with different programs.
